Enjoying a romantic afternoon out, Clay Aiken and his boyfriend were seen relishing in a romantic walk in Los Angeles yesterday (May 12).
One person you won’t be seeing by the singer’s side any time soon is American Idol shoo-in winner Adam Lambert. It appears Clay showed up on the set last week in hopes of landing a potential duet with the show’s resident rocker, to which the producers promptly put the kibosh on
Reports the Chicago Sun-Times:
”I don’t know why Clay felt that way,” said a show staffer who has been on board since the reality talent show was launched. ”Everyone knows — and certainly Clay knows — he’s persona non grata around here.”
The reason for the ”Idol” folks’ lack of affection for Aiken is related to his being the first show contestant to dump 19 Entertainment, the management company that handles all the recording deals, merchandising, tours, sponsorship, film deal and virtually all aspects of all things ”American Idol”-related.
”And not only did he drop 19 Entertainment, but everyone knows he also talked Kelly Clarkson into dropping us, too,” said the staff member. ”To say the least, it was tense around here when Clay showed up — and boy, did they hustle him off the premises as fast as possible. If he didn’t get the hint after that — he never will.”

Idol doesn’t want Clay anywhere near Adam Lambert because they are trying to fix it so he will win, and they don’t want the gay connection with Clay. Last night it was obvious that Simon was giving Adam advice on how to arrange the song Simon picked, which even Randy thought was not allowed. But Adam is not going to win, Kris Allen is. Kris is a better singer with a much better voice. Adam is shrill, and screams all his songs in that sleazy falcetto voiced Las Vegas style performing. He’s almost like watching a drag queen. American Idol has become total bullshit this season and will never be the same again.
cartman, you are not the moral majority. If you listen to the media and most of the public they are going for Adam because he is the best singer, and they have been pulling for him since early on in the season.
Last week Kris should have gone home, not Alison and everyone knows that. If it wasn’t for teenage girls with a crush on a married man he wouldn’t have gotten this far. Notice how you don’t see his wife and kid on there much???
Kris singing last week against the other three was embarrassing. He could not belt it out like they can, and he gets by by being cute and winking at the camera and being smug.
I actually think a Clay/Adam duet might be kind of interesting. It could be a trainwreck or it could be awesome.

Sorry Blake, but i can’t take that falsetto squeeling that Adam does on every song he sings. And he stole the arrangement for the Tears For Fears song “Mad World” from Gary Jules who sang it on the Donny Darko soundrack. But as usual, if Simon is not aware then nobody says anything. Adam belongs on stage in Vegas wearing lots of glitter, singing to old folks. Kris will win Idol.
First of all, that isn’t Reed Kelly in the photo. Reed is a dancer currently in Europe on tour with French singing sensation Mylene Farmer. That guy doesn’t look anything like Reed. Secondly, the story about Clay getting tossed out of Idol is completely false. It was made up by the National Enquirer. Clay has stated numerous times that he hasn’t watched Idol in years and has no idea who any of the current contestants are. Adam has a completely different style than Clay, anyway, so I doubt they’d find much in common. Clay reportedly did stop by the Idol set on a Monday when contestants are not even present. He brought his young son to meet Michael Orland, Debra Byrd, Mezghan Husani, and the other friends he made when he was on the show. Some troublemaker decided to stir up trouble. This story is all complete BS.

I don’t believe for a second that Clay Aiken doesn’t know who Adam Lambert is, nor do I believe that he hasn’t watched AI for years. He has said that for a long time, but then stated that he voted for Elliot Yamin, who was on AFTER Clay said he stopped watching. Everybody should know by now that just about everything Clay Aiken says is a lie.
Aiken’s voice is atrocious now, so I never want to hear him sing, with or without anybody. He can’t even GIVE his music away, which he tried to do recently. His 15 minutes were up a long time ago. He should go back to teaching, IF that teaching story of his is really true.

AND, you have to be kidding about Adam Lamber and Clay. They are so opposites of each other. Even though Clay is gay, he is not falling in love with another guy he doesn’t even know. The general public is not as stupid as you think we are!!

Aiken knows that Lambert is owned body, soul, and fishnet pantyhose by 19. There is no way Aiken thought he would duet with Lambert. The whole story appears to be BS. As for a duet? Hell, no! Not with Lambert’s screeching all the time.

Yeah . The story is bs . There is no way that Adam or Clay would want to duet with each other but they both have exceptional voices so if they did sing together it would be fantastic . Not gonna happen .
I heard that the ” insider ” that started this rumor totes the Idol hairdressers product in his backpack and fetches the coffee for the talent . The NE gave quick and easy $$$ for the story .

Haha, FUNNY! HELL NO! Adam Lambert should stay far, far away from Clay Aiken. Adam is in an entire different league from Clay, as are the last 4 contestants on Idol this year. Clay has never taken the art of music seriously like Adam has, or taken care of his voice either, and he sounds like crap now. Is that Clay’s trick while his boyfriend is working in France? Hell no! Clay is no where near Adam’s level…Adam can do well on his own. If a duet is required as part of the show, I rather see him duet with strong female vocalist, like aretha franklin, chakka khan, ann wilson, or christina aquilara.
I hope Kris wins. He is the artist with more radio/cd sale potential. Adam is a theater act. He belongs in drag in Vegas. He is too over the top and every song sounds the same, he does it the same. Did u hear both of them sing that LAME ass song Kara wrote? Kris arrangd it sooo much better. He is a real musician.
Of course Idol producers don’t want him around Adam Lambert. Even though Adam didn’t win, he’ll still make money for the show with the tour and everything. Aiken is a washed-up has-been, and who wants that hanging around? It was bad enough that they had creepy Taylor Hicks back on the show. By the way, Clay’s boyfriend is pretty.
