Bill Gates and his wife Melinda spent the weekend in Rome with their children, 12-year-old Jennifer, 7-year-old Phoebe and 9-year-old son Rory.
The Microsoft chairman was spotted checking out a couple of the new Fiat 500 vehicles before taking his family to the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain.
Afterwards, the family enjoyed a picnic lunch in Villa Borghese Park and then rented some Rickshaw bicycles to ride through the park.
Since stepping down from day-to-day control of Microsoft, Mr. Gates has devoted much of his time to the The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Several main areas are targeted by the foundation’s grants, including global health care. The health care work also includes HIV/AIDS, malaria, pneumonia and maternal and child health care.
In other words, the billionaire philanthropist now spends his time making the world a better place.

I wonder if they need body gaurds to follow them around?
…that’s what it’s all about…they are a family, they are happy, healthy, fed and clothed. Bill Gates has all he needs in this life time…the rest is just a bonus which he gives to make the worls a better place.
Take notes Madonna…this is TRUE philanthropy at it’s best…you don’t see him “adopt/displace” a child…he makes the child’s place a better place to live!
Thank you Bill Gates!
he gives to make the WORLD a better place.
there fixed it….
I agree, its seems like celebs like oprah and madonna donate money and “help” just so they can say they help. he really is doing some good.
Please add Angleina to this list. Every time this bitch gives away a dime she and Pitt call a press conference. Steven Speilberg is another who has been giving all of his career and never feels the need to mention it.
They sure don’t dress or look like a billionaire family. Seems the parents are good at keeping their kids from being spoiled brats and grateful for what they have.
And awesome that they give so much to so many charities. Goes with the saying about giving and getting back.
I’ve always liked Bill Gates. He seems like a really good guy and not one of those shoddy businessmen who turn into crooks when they hit the big time. He made his money because of how intelligent he is. He and his family seem really normal and look like any other family on vacation. His kids are cute as well!
Stephi, like most things you comment on you are wrong. You should read up on Mr. Gates his reputation is something that he uses his billions to hide. He has destroyed the careers of so many intelligent computer visionaries with his power. I for one am so happy that Apple is gaining in popularity and Microsoft is going down.
A seven year old in a stroller? Really?
