The always stunning Cate Blanchett , who poses for famed photographer Michael Thompson in an alluring photo spread in the upcoming W, tells the mag her secret for playing Bob Dylan in the new biopic ‘I’m Not There,’ was simple: “I just strapped those breasts down and went for it.”
She adds that she wanted to do the flick after seeing director Todd Haynes’ controversial work ‘Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story,’ which was acted out with Barbie dolls. “It was really emotionally honest, this Barbie doll barfing into the toilet,” Blanchett tells W.

I think she is absolutely one of the best actresses of today. I can’t wait to see her portrayal of Bob Dylan, that is a huge leap of faith for the studio to take. I like this picture because she is hardly ever portrayed as sexy but it would be better if you could see her eyes.
I totally agree my2cents- she’s great. And I can just imagine her laughing saying that barbie doll line! I think she’s very smart.
Love Miss Cate. I’ll watch anything with her. This cover shoot is sexy!
Stinky ass picture– She has no eyes.
Cate fucking ROCKS…..I’m looking forward to her next “Elizabeth” movie.
Their dopey image doesn’t even resemble Kate. Can’t they leave their goddammit photoshop alone for one second?
Tha Dylan movie looks AMAZING!
Her role as dylan will make her ethernal.
As actresses go they don’t get any better than Cate…..
NOTE: she plays NO bimbo!
I’m interested to see how this Bob Dylan movie goes but that Karen Carpenter one just sounds a bit too weird. I don’t mind when a producer tries something new but when they try too hard to be different it just comes across as ridiculous. I’m not a massive fan of this cover. I like her body but her face looks really freaky…the eyes are hollow. I’m sure that was intended but I don’t really like it.
She’s an excellent actress - Adore her.
So talented and natural..love her!
MMMMMMMmeeeeeh.. She looks like a troll that lives in the woods!
