But he wasn’t done there. Today, he again blamed the cable channel for Britney Spears’ performance. “Man, they were just trying to get ratings, and they knew she wasn’t ready and they exploited her,” the 29-year-old rapper said on Sirius Satellite Radio’s The Morning Mash Up.
As for Kanye’s thoughts on who should have opened the show? Himself, of course, with his first single from his new album, ‘Stronger’.

Wow…for some reason I just went over to Perez’s site and right after he posts something, Arasto posts it. So who is the REAL blogger?

Kayne doesn’t deserve to win any awards, he sucks and his music sucks. I can’t wait til this cry baby’s career is done. I can’t wait for karma to get him back.

I agreed with you Ryan, he’s not very charming and his music suck! Ick, he just need to go away.
September 11th, 2007 at 1:37 pm
I can understand his frustration. He writes music he actually feels good about and that the public responds to be making his songs hits. He doesn’t flash his balls in public or come out of clubs with coke dried to his nose. Then MTV gived the opening act on the main stage to Britney Spears who is a hot ass mess. MTV is supposed to be about music and now it seems it is only about reality shows and supporting tasteless jokes and “artists”. He was also mad about the joke they had Pamela Anderson make about “tasting his fiance”, I can understand that! I think he has a right to be upset but this temper tantrum probably was not the best way to show his anger.

^^agreed.. I’m not saying his reaction was right, but I understand

He has every right to be upset.
September 11th, 2007 at 1:57 pm
HE IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.
September 11th, 2007 at 2:02 pm
He needs to shut the fuck up and stop complaining.
September 11th, 2007 at 2:13 pm
When has justice ever mattered in these situations? He is so right about everything he says. It was all about the ratings and making a buck, execs these days don’t give a fuck if they hurt your feelings.

mtv expoit britney, or did britney (and friends) say she was ready and want to be on stage (exploiting herself)? she knew what she was getting herself into. she chose the outfit. she chose to be on stage. she’s an adult (albeit one that needs help).
.
kanye sucks.
September 11th, 2007 at 3:55 pm
oh, quit whining Kanye- you egotistical tool.
September 11th, 2007 at 4:01 pm
I agree that Kanye is an egotistical idiot, but he is right about MTV exploiting Britney. They knew we would all tune in to see if she was a trainwreck.
September 11th, 2007 at 4:33 pm
I loves it. The amazing rage and anger in Kayne’s voice, it’s too friggin funny. He’s a God damned millionare for putting out lousy rap to begin with. If he’s just really go away and never come back, but of course he won’t.
September 11th, 2007 at 5:04 pm
Kanye is just one of the most egotistical people I’ve ever come across. I like his music but his whole attitude always prevents me from loving it or going out and buying the record. I think he does have a point with MTV though….I don’t think they should have let Britney go on and perform something that was obviously not up to scratch. If you compare the Gimme More performace to her past opening performances it is obvious that she can do better. It’s seems suspicious that the whole Criss Angel thing was scrapped at the last minute too. It just feels the MTV felt they would get more ratings if Britney sucked than if she was good. And we all know that due to major drops in the ratings that they needed something that would be headline news. Well congrats MTV you got it!
September 11th, 2007 at 5:17 pm
It’s just his way of getting publicity….he can’t flash his winner-dog luke Britney flashes her Whoo-ha so he’s working the spin so that he can get free publicity for his album….wake up everyone!!
September 11th, 2007 at 6:58 pm
Well, Britney has been exploited for ratings at MANY VMA’s and has NEVER won a moonman. Do you see her crying over it?
September 11th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
You know he is probably right. But he does tend to sway on the conspiracy theorists side a lot.
September 11th, 2007 at 7:27 pm
not a fan. he’s making himself look like a herk, but he’s got a point.
September 11th, 2007 at 7:28 pm
^^^oi. herk=jerk

I don’t believe that the Criss Angel part was scrapped at the last second. If you look at the video of her at MTV.com at rehersal on Friday afternoon she is doing the same dance she did that night on the awards. That excuse is her fans imaginations because they don’t want to believe that she sucked that bad because of her own lack of determination. She could of come out there and blown the roof off and everyone in that place would have given her a standing ovation. She is too lazy and unfocused for that. I don’t believe it was scrapped at the last minute. She just could never pull her head out of her ass to learn it in the 1st place. JMO.
September 11th, 2007 at 8:59 pm
i agree my2cents. near the end of her performance you can see the same dance moves as the rehearsal. plus, if things were changed at the last minute, how come all the dancers know it too and performed better than her?
girl is gone…

I agree with him that MTV care a lot more about controversial tv and reality tv than about real music and real talent. I also agree on the Britney comment, even though she fucked it up herself, it would have been noble of them to just say “Britney you’re not ready”, but that would have been the eight world wonder. Although I’m not surprised, the MTV-staff doesn’t have one ounce of integrity. They tried to cover up a rape that happened on the Real World. However, what annoys the fuck out of me, is his sense of entitlement. There are many more artists with real talent and if they don’t win a moonman they at least act gracefully in front of the camera (country music stars excluded). Last year he cried : “My video cost 1 milion dollars and I’m not winning the moon man for best video? ” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAN_OXblCEs He’s a selfcentered, materialistic fool.

eurgh he seems so arrogant. this is just like that diva tantrum he had before about his million dollar music video not winning an award.
i can’t stand the guy. i’ll take britney thanks.
September 12th, 2007 at 5:14 am
He’s arrogant, but he’s RIGHT.
Rihanna could have opened the show also.
Video awards, right? They should have opened with Rihanna then.
