Sitting alongside a homely Amanda Peet, self-appointed style icon and apparent sunglass enthusiast Victoria Beckham attends the showing of Oscar de la Renta 2008 spring/summer collection during Fashion Week in New York City on Monday.
Looking typically Posh in an emerald green mini-dress and towering peep-toes, the 33-year-old fashionista sat front row at the former church on Park Avenue and watched designs from the celeb-friendly fashion house parade down the runway to the music of The Polyphonic Spree, a local choir.
After the show, Victoria couldn’t help but rave about her newly adopted country. “LA is wonderful, I have never been happier,” she told reporters, “The sun is shining, everyone is friendly and the kids are surfing.” Posh has even made it onto a surfboard, though not in her trademark stilettos. “You know what, I would do that,” she added.

I do NOT like that dress, her hair is too blonde, and she should have left it as it was when she first got it cut (style-wise).

I love Posh’s dress. The shoes? Well, the cutout is a neat idea, but in reality, all it does is show exactly how murderous stilettos are on a woman’s feet. I KNOW how my toes get mangled in those heels–I don’t need to see the evidence on some other woman.

She looks amazing!!! The dress is fantastic and she just knows how to wear things and what suits her body and her own style. She doesn’t just simply follow the trends like a lot of other celebrities do. She definately fits in in the front row of Fashion Week! I love that she is able to make fun of herself but still maintain her poise and chicness.

umm…the polyphonic spree is actually a band that includes a choir…and they’re not exactly “local” to new york…they’re from texas.
victoria’s clothes may look amazing on her - i just wish she’d look bit more alive. kinda sad to look like “dead body” in your early 30s.
