The quiet battle taking place between Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox is reaching its boiling point.
Things initially got tense after Jen refused to appear in Courteney’s new ABC sitcom, Cougar Town. They were said to be “barely speaking.”
Now comes news that Courteney is getting even by betraying the solemn oath that all BFFs unconsciously take — she’s befriending Jen’s ex. (Yes, that ex!)

Cox, who is supposedly best pals with her former “Friends” co-star Jennifer Aniston, was spotted chatting with Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt at a concert Sunday night. Cox was at the Wiltern Theater in LA with husband David Arquette for the final stop on rocker Chris Cornell’s Scream album tour when Pitt showed up. Our backstage spy told us, “Instead of ignoring him, Courteney chatted away with Brad all night. The three were in great spirits and seemed really happy to see each other.”
Ouch. Talk about hitting below the belt!
What started off as an amazing 40th year (a hit movie, a hot young rocker boyfriend) is ending up to be a miserable one (no man, no friends) for the eternally alone Aniston.

Jennifer Aniston has said herself that she is on friendly terms with Brad Pitt - I dont think she would be mad at Courtney for talking to Brad if she sees him out somewhere, especially as the when she was with Brad the couples spent a lot of time together, vacations, etc.
