CAT BECKINSALE ADDS TO THE FAMILY

kate-beck-cat.jpg

While Britney Spears was busy ruining what little career she had left, big screen beauty Kate Beckinsale cuddled up to a selection of cats at Jack’s Pet Chalet in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The actress and her director husband Len Wiseman looked at five exotic kittens but left without taking one home.

Kate already has a cat named Wabbit back at her Beverly Hills homes.

No big news here, I understand, but anything non-Britney related is a welcomed changed.

Why not get one at the animal shelter? She’s in the public eye, I just wish she’d try the shelters first!!!!

Exactly Blake!! Pet stores usually get animals from mills or places with poor conditions.

I totally agree with you guys! I never go to pet shops- always the RSPCA! And if you want a ‘breed’ rather than one of the animals in need at the shelters you should go directly through the breeder. Argh I’m so against pet shops don’t get me started!

yeah i can’t stand pet stores, i mean the animals are so cute that you want to buy them, but you have to remember where they come from. And to remember that there are animals that will be killed if they are not adopted. I like hearing about the celebrities that adopt from humane society.

i’m at least happy she’s being choosy and discerning about picking a new pet and not impulsively buying an animal. it’s not the fault of the puppies or kittens that they were born into those poor conditions. i certainly don’t endorse those mills though

It is nice to see that she didn’t just grab one and go, but it would be nice to see her at a shelter instead of a pet store.
