Snapped by famed photographer Mario Testino, big screen beauty Keira Knightley goes mega glam in the October issue of British Vogue.
In the new issue, the 22-year-old actress admits that her first years in the industry were lonely and she took the strain of malicious comments. “When I was 17, 18, 19, I felt incredibly insecure,” she says. “I went through a period of thinking I looked weird and skinny, and that’s 10 times worse when you’re being written about.”
“When it first starts happening, I defy anybody not to look at every review that says you’re rubbish and not to look at every picture that says you’re wearing the wrong dress,†she added.

wow- doesn’t even look like her…she’s like Salma Hayek…..gorgeous until she smiles…..they both have small teeth and big gums.

I think the cover is pretty but its so altered they may as well have put a cartoon person on it. She is a beautiful girl, why can’t they leave well enough alone?!

She looks stunning in the cover but everything else is too gangly, ah well, as long as she’s happy with herself. I don’t think she is anorexic but I don’t like her, she’s a pouting self righteous ho.

I LOVE these pictures! I’m not a big fan of Keira at all but I think she looks fantastic here, probably because she doesn’t really look like herself. The photo with the bunny ears is too cute and these shoes are making me crazy! I agree with you Noticed, it does seem that thats all she talks about. If she wants other people to stop talking about her weight than she needs to ignore it first.
On the cover photo she’s unrecognizable. And I know that Testino is a known photographer but it doesn’t mean that all of his photos are great. I don’t get the ear bunnies.
The photos are beautiful. I think she’s great. She’s a totally down-to-earth, British girl. Yes, she’s skinny. But she’s ALWAYS been skinny, leading me to believe it’s her natural body type and not some element of an eating disorder. Good for her for standing her ground and defying anyone who would claim otherwise.
Wrong joycat she was no where near this skinney in Bend it Like Beckham, she was healthy looking then now she looks emaciated.

Yo - I disagree. While she may have had a few more pounds in Bend it Like Beckham, she was still very skinny in that movie. A few pounds lost on a skinny person looks like twenty. She hasn’t lost any significant amount of body weight like Nicole Ritchie did, she’s just a skinny, overworked British girl. She’s just needs to lay off the moviemaking for awhile and give herself a much needed break.
She looks gorgeous; very Veronica Lake with the hair. I just don’t get the sudden issue with her weight, no one made a fuss when she was in Bend It Like Beckham wearing a cropped tank top that showed off just how skinny she is, comparing her now, she looks no different in terms of her size. A friend of mine was in a similar situation (although obviously not famous) and being told that she was anorexic when she wasn’t eventually drove her to become bullemic. If Keira Knightley is happy with the way she is then why should care what the public thinks? the way it seems to me is that she is busy and overworked, with little time for herself, she just needs a good rest. P.S Atonement is fantastic but take tissues!
