After a brief separation at the end of 2007 and a reconciliation last spring, Sean Penn has filed for a separation from wife Robin Wright Penn.
The couple has been married for nearly 13 years and have two teenage children.
In February, Robin was at her husband’s side when he won the best actor Oscar for his performance as gay rights activist Harvey Milk in Milk.
He failed to mention her name during any of his many thank-you speeches.

Crap! I really wanted them to make it. I love Robin Wright and I loved them together. I hope he doesn’t go and pull a Mel Gibson.
What a shame, I really liked them as a couple. I truly hope that I never get divorced, I can’t imagine what wrench it would be - of course - violence / adultery aside.

I think he is a really great actor but a douche in real life! He just has this attitude that sucks. I think she will be happier in the long run away from his ass.

I remember thinking what an *ss he looked like towards her at the Academy Awards and how he never mentioned her name. She looked hurt. I remember thinking at the time ‘what is up?’. He seems like an egotistical *ss in real life. Wouldn’t want to deal with him.
