Jennifer Garner was photographed not picking up her daughter from preschool — can you believe it?
Taking a break from her role as stay-at-home mom, the 37-year-old actress stepped out last night (April 27) for the world premiere of her new romantic comedy, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Though hubby Ben Affleck couldn’t make it (he’s in Boston filming), a modestly dressed Jen was joined on the red carpet by her hunky co-star Matthew McConaughey and his model baby mama Camila Alves.
Meanwhile, in a chat with the Boston Herald, Jen talks about the daily struggles of being a working mom. “Every working woman, whatever you are doing, you feel the tug somewhere else,” she says.
And if you have noticed that it’s been quite some time since we’ve last seen Jen on the big screen, it’s no accident. The mother of two consciously chose to take time off to raise her kids. She says: “I loved every minute of it, but there were also times I felt like, ‘I cannot have the same conversation one more time. I cannot think about how I’m running out of Tupperware.’ Your brain really does feel like ‘I need some adult work kind of stimulation.’ It’s a difficult balance.”
As for how Jennifer realizes that it’s time for her to take a break? “I realize I just get pregnant,” she says.
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past opens nationwide on Friday (May 1).

If one more actress refers to herself as a ‘working woman’ I’m gonna lose it. Bitch, when you work an 8-5 and THEN come home to mother your children then holla back at us….

Matt is so much the dad with his son Levi.. and
seeing him with Camilla is so much different than
Ben and Jen.. ONE QUESTION WHY CALL IT GIRLFRIENDS WHEN IT IS ALL ABOUT THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY JEN’S CHARACTER..
Camilla really looks HOT, Jen not so much,she looks 50 in that dress.
Give Jen a break–she just had a baby in January. Maybe she’s got more important things to do, like spending time with her daughters, than making it her sole purpose to lose the baby weight overnight.
I think Jen looks great,like a girl next door. However, Camilla looks like a transvestite, and is fugly with these bushy groucho type eyebrows. YUK!
