It was a busy day out in Germany for Zac Efron on Saturday (April 25).

Hiding behind his trendy shades, the 21-year-old teen heartthrob touched down in Berlin in the early morning for the premiere of his box-office smash 17 Again. Zac’s girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, wasn’t with him, but he did bring his mother, Starla Baskett, along for the trip.

The adorable mother-son duo first hit up the espresso bar/restaurant Dali in Berlin for a quick bite to eat. Then they enjoyed the sunny weather at a beer garden near the Schlaten Sea before satisfying their resurged munchies at a restaurant called Alte Fischerh.

So why wasn’t Vanessa around on what could have been a potentially romantic weekend getaway? The two are experiencing a slight relationship hurdle after Zac reportedly “had words” with her for flashing too much flesh.

Recent photos on the internet of Vanessa wearing nothing but a shirt have apparently made Zac furious.

A source tells British publications: “After the nude photo scandal Vanessa endured only 18 months ago, Zac was not happy when he saw her step out in just a shirt. It barely covered her up. He loves the way she dresses and that she always looks too stylish, but he was just being protective. Zac feels she took it a little too far this time and she should be more careful about her outfits in future.”
