Surrounded by fans and photogs alike, Miley Cyrus smiles at fans and photographers as she exits the Disney store in London today (April 25).
Though she was relatively gracious on this day, the 16-year-old Disney star stunned fans after refusing to spare some change for a homeless panhandler.
Miss Miley was reportedly none too impressed when she was approached by a down-and-out homeless man as she headed to London’s Nobu restaurant after the UK of Hannah Montana: The Movie earlier this week.
Reports the UK’s Star: “She refused to lighten its load by parting with cash for the poor chap outside, who politely asked for some change. She made the schoolgirl error of missing the charitable photo opportunity that a gaggle of stars have taken advantage of with the infamous beggar.”
Needless to say, Miley’s fans are stunned that their idol could be so heartless.
One former fan on her unofficial fansite Mileyfans.net: “That was so nasty. Why’d she do that? She just ignored him.”

what’s the big deal? since when are people obligated to give money to homeless, yes it would have been a nice gesture, but it’s not mandatory. getting flustered about this is rubbish
Yes, I am sure everyone who is so outraged over this gives money to every homeless person they see. Get over it. I once saw a homeless guy on the train begging for money, swearing it was for food and that he never did drugs. I looked down and he had a syringe in the cuff of his pants for shooting up heroin.

did it ever occur that maybe she didnt have any change on her alot of stars only carry their cards with them, and I agree I don’t give my hard earned money away to homeless people who could get off their ass and get a job but are too friggen lazy
Really doesn’t surprise me at all. She seems like a little brat. She could have just been a bit unsure of what was happening though or maybe felt a little intimidated by him. I know I would be questioning who I was giving my money to, I would hate to think they went and spent it all on drugs or alcohol and made their situation even worse. It wouldn’t have hurt her to give him something though.
Did it ever occur to anyone that most homeless people don’t want to be homeless?? Many have mental problems and no families to help, have fought for our country or were victims of abuse. Don’t you think if they could get a job they would?? I know it doesn’t apply to every homeless person but let’s be fair here. I always give some change or a dollar and I’m not rich by any means. I guess people just aren’t nice anymore

Personally, I never give to panhandlers. I do, however, give generously to my food shelter and other charitable organizations throughout the year. You can’t judge whether a person is “charitable” by whether or not they give a beggar spare change. Honestly, if the girl gave the guy a $20 bill, some people would be saying she used it as a photo op. I’m not a fan of the girl, but truly, she can’t win either way.
Fuck homeless people !!! Most of them are nothing more than crazy boozers looking for their next bottle of MD 20-20. She did right by steering clear of him. Get off this kid’s back–she is a pretty nice young girl who has done well.
Yeah, most homeless do not want to be homeless, but a lot of them aren’t even homeless and just regular people pulling scams. Another homeless story- this guy on the train (any doubt I am from NYC?) used to say he could not see out of his right eye. Someone on his far right and out of view of him blind eye took out a dollar to give him. All of the sudden had no problem seeing out of that eye.
You hippies need to wake up to reality and how the world works. Everyone knows you live in Williamsburg because you can’t afford Manhattan.
